Interested in learning traditional Ghaniana drum and dance? Come volunteer and take classes with our culture troupe, or bring a group and learn together!
Roots Revival culture troupe is an arts, history, and cultural performance group composed of local youth and taught by master drummer Frank Adjavor and his assistants. The group performs, runs therapeutic music sessions, and learns narrative song and dance to educate the public about important social issues such as forced child labor, trafficking, teenage pregnancy and more.
The group focuses on understanding the history and cultures of the important songs and dances they perform, and use that understanding to impart that knowledge to the next generation. Our philosophy is that if the youth know their roots then we can build from that wisdom together.
