Volta Revival is a grassroots non-profit which empowers our partners to establish Stronger, healthier, and more educated communities along the Volta river in Ghana with the aim of ending child trafficking and forced labor.

LOVE OF THE PEOPLE. LOVE OF MAMA AFRICA. LOVE OF JUSTICE AND KINDESS. AND LOVE OF EACH OTHER. Volta Revival Foundation (VRF) was established based on the philosophy of holistic community based programming and with the aim of ending child trafficking and forced labor slavery in Ghana.

We do this by providing support and collaboration through the opportunities embedded in our programs. We believe an essential ingredient in sustaining positive behavior change is education and training. We understand that child trafficking and slavery are symptoms of deeper rooted issues, and Volta Revival along with our amazing partners is committed to addressing the systemic barriers to change.

  • Our on the ground staff and most of our volunteers are locals from the areas we serve.

  • We encourage stakeholders to engage meaningfully in all our endeavors.

  • We believe that diversity is a super power! Our committees and board of directors are composed of folks from all around the world.

  • At Volta Revival everyone has a space to voice their perspective from community members, staff, partners, and committees all have the authority to lead!

  • Volta Revival has adopted a participatory organizational and programs strategy. Our community based action model is implemented in many ways including throughout the program life-cycle
